Clearly being surrounded by some of the world’s leading tour professionals each day and being part of a Club with complete equality since its opening in 1991 has rubbed off on the ladies at The Wisley.
They successfully battled through the preliminary matches to reach the finals at Bramley and became Champions of Surrey.
The Wisley then represented Surrey against Pinner Hill (Middlesex champions) in the morning semi-final of the Pearson Inter County Championship and narrowly won 4-3. In the afternoon final, Surrey faced Hertfordshire Champions Moor Park, who had earlier beaten Kent in the semi finals and another victory secured the Inter County Pearson Trophy for Surrey.
