The Guildford Alliance (a Surrey based Pro-am series, played over the winter months) has just completed another highly successful season, comprising of 11 Golf events played between October 2015 and April 2016, at some of the truly great Golf courses in the Guildford area – Hankley Common, The Berkshire, Worplesdon, RAC, West Hill, Woking, St Georges Hill, Liphook and Walton Heath.
The season long Professional order of Merit was won by David Copsey (Poult Wood Golf Club) with Kevin O’Connell (Purley Downs Golf Club) in 2nd place and Bob Cameron (Sundridge Park Golf Club) in 3rd. The end of season Championship held over 36 holes at Walton Heath was won by Scott Graham (Purley Downs Golf Club) with a very impressive 2 under par total, in very windy conditions. Leading Amateur was Phil Goodwin (Liphook Golf Club) who despite playing off a Handicap of 6 only dropped 5 shots all day to par.
