The countdown is well and truly underway to next September when France will have the honour of staging the Ryder Cup for the first time in its proud golfing history.
With an abundance of outstanding golf in stunning locations, fascinating history and mouth-watering gastronomy, France has plenty to recommend to visiting golfers.
And this month we’ve teamed up with Souillac Golf & Country Club to offer you the chance to sample all this and more by winning a fantastic three-night break for four people to the country’s famous Dordogne Valley.
As well as enjoying accommodation in one of the resort’s well-equipped four-star lodges – including access to its own hamlet’s swimming pool – the prize also features unlimited golf during your stay.
Designed by Jeremy Pern, Souillac’s picturesque 18-hole, tree-lined golf course offers a variety of challenges to overcome, with the emphasis placed on accuracy rather than length off the tee. Other resort facilities include a driving range, nine swimming pools, tennis, boules, a children’s play area and bar and restaurant.
Kayaking, mountain-biking and horse-riding can also be enjoyed nearby while Souillac – which lies within easy access of five airports and the motorway – offers the gateway to discover the south-west region’s many other delights, including its world-famous foie gras, cheeses and wines.
