JOIN THE PROS FOR A STAR-STUDDED EXPERIENCE AT THE MANOR HOUSE

European Tour ace Laurie Canter put on a dazzling display on his way to winning the inaugural Manor House Pro-Am two years ago, and another star-studded line-up is expected when the popular event returns at the prestigious Wiltshire club this summer.

Amateurs from across the south of England are now being invited to enter this year’s pro-am, which will take place at the Castle Combe venue on Tuesday, August 31, and is being run in association with VPAR – the market-leading technology platform for live scoring.

Canter, who finished 19th in the 2020 Race to Dubai, carded an impressive five birdies and two eagles to take first prize in 2019, and participants at this year’s event can expect another fun-packed day on and off the course.

Featuring a field of 25 teams – with professionals competing for a total prize fund of £5,000 – players will enjoy 18 holes on The Manor House’s acclaimed 18-hole championship course including buggies, as well as breakfast on arrival, a BBQ afterwards and an array of top prizes sponsored by Adidas.

Entry for the team event, which will be played with a Stableford format with the best two scores to count on each hole, costs £450 for a team of three players, with practice rounds and bed-and-breakfast accommodation packages also available for guests looking to extend their stay.

Considered one of the best courses in the south-west of England, The Manor House’s delightful layout is immersed in the enchanting surroundings of the Cotswolds, with 365 acres of breathtaking rolling countryside as a backdrop. Designed by Peter Alliss and Clive Clark, the mature oak and beech trees that line the beautifully manicured fairways, together with the immaculate greens and the River Bybrook meandering through the middle, bring both drama and beauty to the 6,500-yard parkland course.

The golf club is part of a wider estate, which encompasses a 12th-century pub, The Castle Inn, and a luxury country house hotel, The Manor House, a 14th-century stately building with an enviable reputation, owned and managed by the Exclusive Collection.
