The Surrey Seniors team had a successful day at a delightful West Sussex on 23rd August. A 5-5 scoreline against Sussex secured the Seniors League, after beating Hampshire and Kent earlier in the Summer. Most matches were very close down the last few holes. A last hole win from Ian Attoe over Steve Graham in the first game was impressive. There were other wins from Simon Crockett and David Boxall.
Keith Waters, Nigel Pimm and Fred Lindgren played the later holes well to all come back from being three down at some point to get a win and two halves. Fred's up and down from a greenside bunker on 18 proved decisive.
Thank you to Al Page, Steve McNeill and Terry Casey for their support.
West Sussex was in excellent condition, and we thank the club and Sussex for hosting a great match.
