ORIZONTE – Lisbon Golf, the biggest golf course management company in Portugal, has unveiled next year’s hugely popular ‘Derby & Golf Weekend’ package for golf and football fanatics.
This is the fifth year the incredible stay-and-play deal, which includes three nights at the SANA Malhoa hotel, two rounds of golf at the highly-acclaimed Quinta do Peru and Aroeira courses, golf transfers and a ticket for the ‘Derby de Lisboa’s between Sporting and Benfica has been run. The package from May 4 to May 7, 2018 costs just €542 (£480) with the chance to include an extra round of golf at the prestigious Ribagolfe course, described as the ‘Valderrama of Portugal’, for just an additional €50 (£44).

Both sides will have title aspirations after making excellent starts to the campaign, so the meeting in the penultimate match of the season could prove to be decisive in the race to win the Primeira League.
The four-star SANA Malhoa, complete with fully-equipped gymnasium, sauna, jacuzzi, Turkish bath, bar and restaurant, is situated in the heart of the bustling Portuguese capital, just 10 minutes from Lisbon airport, while Aroeira is just 25 minutes away and Quinta do Peru a 35-minute transfer.

The Rocky Roquemore-designed layout, which opened in 1994 was already rated among the top 100 courses in Europe in the highly-respected Golf World magazine rankings between 1999 and 2014.
Aroeira, which was included among Europe’s Top 100 Courses last year, has gained further recognition as one of the top golfing venues in Portugal after being highlighted for special praise in the ‘Leading Courses’ Golfers’ Choice rankings for the second year running.
