The Hicks Trophy and Hicks Plate finals were played at Tandridge on another lovely sunny day although it was quite chilly for all the spectators!
The Hicks Trophy was played between Walton Heath and Worplesdon. The two clubs are old rivals and this was always going to be a close match. There was some excellent golf played by both teams. Walton Heath won the first two matches and the last match so the other two matches were called in - at that stage they were both all square so it was a fitting way to end the match.
The Hicks Plate was played between Royal Mid-Surrey and Burhill. Again this was always going to be a close match and it went down to the last putt on the last green in match four with Royal Mid-Surrey taking the winning point.
Congratulations to all the finalists. The spectators were treated to some great golf and all played in a tremendous spirit.
